In this tutorial, we will explore how to use the data ops feature of changing the crypto type. There may be a few scenarios where you would like to alter the displayed crypto asset for another.
One example is if the platform recognizes the asset as an unsupported asset type and you request for the token asset to be activated on the platform, once activated you can use the change crypto type feature to convert it to the activated asset instead of having to disconnect and reconnect your wallet to achieve the same affect. Changing the crypto type would preserve any classifications already used.
you may want to change the way the digital asset is reflected by changing the digital asset type.
Step 1
On the Transactions page, click on the Quick search category and select Crypto Symbol.
Step 2
On the Quick search bar, search for the token symbol of the asset you will be changing the crypto type of. In this example, we are changing the crypto type of HORD to an ERC-20 token asset type.
Step 3
Make sure to select all your transactions of the token asset you are going to change the type for, then select the "Change Crypto Type" option within the data ops menu.
Step 4
Select the cryptocurrency you want to change the token asset to, note that you can have an asset selection across multiple different chains. In this example, we are changing the asset type to an ERC-20 asset for HORD.
Step 5
Once you selected the cryptocurrency, click on update and confirm with a second click and your asset change will take place.
