A Statement of Digital Assets (SoDA) shows the crypto still held at the end of a cost basis calculation. It is a point-in-time holdings report, grouped by wallet and asset, with the remaining quantity, book value, and market value.
Cryptoworth builds the statement from the calculation's open lots and unrealized gain/loss data. Open lots are the units left after outgoing transactions have been matched to earlier acquisitions.
Use this guide to generate the statement, set its account treatments and wallet roles, and download a CSV.
1. Open a completed calculation
Click Subledger in the left menu.
Click Calculation.
Open the calculation list and select a Completed run for the period and connections you need. Confirm the run ID and period before you continue.
Open Checks and review any failed checks, missing data, or warnings. Resolve relevant issues before relying on the statement.
For missing prices or inventory, see How to Resolve Transaction Deviations.
The screenshots use an example calculation with outstanding checks. They show where to click; the sample values are not an approved report.
2. Generate the statement
In the same calculation, click More.
Select Statement of Digital Assets.
Click Generate and wait for the holdings table to appear.
If the statement already exists: the button shows Refresh. Use it when you need to rebuild the statement from the calculation's open lots and unrealized gain/loss data.
Review the wallet, asset, and remaining quantity in each row.
Column | What it shows |
Wallet / Address | The wallet that holds the asset. |
Symbol | The asset. |
Quantity | The remaining amount of that asset. |
Unit Price | The price used for one unit of the asset. |
FMV | The value displayed for the holding under its account treatment. For FV, this is fair market value. |
Book Value | The acquisition cost shown where the selected account treatment uses this column. |
A dash is not a confirmed zero. Missing prices, unexpected quantities, and unresolved calculation issues need review before you use the report.
3. Choose an account treatment
Use the Account Treatment menu on each holding's row. Choose the treatment required by your reporting policy. The three options below are alternatives.
FV: Fair Value
Choose FV (Fair Value) to show market value in FMV and acquisition cost in Book Value. The holding is included in FV totals.
BV: Book Value
Choose BV (Book Value) to show the holding at cost only. The holding is included in BV totals.
SC: Stablecoin
Choose SC (Stablecoin) for a holding that your reporting policy treats as cash-like. After Save, the row moves to the Stablecoins section and is included in the SC total.
Changing the treatment changes how the holding is displayed and how totals are grouped. It does not change the quantity, unit price, or underlying acquisition cost.
4. Choose a wallet role
Use the Wallet Role menu to choose the role required for the wallet. Choose one of the options below.
A wallet role applies to every holding in that wallet. Changing it on one row updates the other rows for the same wallet.
For Ops/Admin, choose that option in Wallet Role.
For Tax Liability, choose that option in Wallet Role.
For Native, choose that option in Wallet Role.
5. Save and review the grouped totals
When your selections are complete, click Save.
After saving, scroll to the totals and check the grouping. Holdings marked SC now appear under Stablecoins (SC). Review the FV, BV, and SC totals.
6. Export and download the CSV
Click Export to create a CSV from the saved statement.
Open Exports in the same calculation.
Under Individual Reports, scroll down to Statement of Digital Assets.
Wait for that report's status to show COMPLETED, then click Download in the same row.
The CSV contains the holdings from the saved SoDA statement. After changing the statement, repeat Save, Export, and Download to get an updated CSV.
Exporting the report does not publish transaction values or run GL Sync. Those are separate actions.
