Lock/Unlock Transactions

Lock or unlock key transactions to protect data from edits. Manage locks via filters or Portfolio Settings. Use "Remove All" to reset.

Transaction locks are used to prevent changes to key transactions within your ledger, ensuring data consistency during reporting. Previously, locks were only available after a successful calculation, but now you can manually apply them using filters and selections directly in the Transactions table.

Locking Transactions

  1. From the side panel, navigate to the Transactions tab.

  2. Use filters or scroll through the table to locate your desired transactions. Select the checkboxes for the transactions you want to lock.


  3. Click on the Bulk Action menu, the select Lock Transactions. A confirmation prompt will appear.


  4. Click Lock to confirm. The transaction table will refresh to reflect the locked status.

Unlocking Transactions:

To unlock one transaction at a time:

  • While on the transactions page, click on the unlock icon for the transaction you wish to unlock, then click Unlock Transaction to confirm.

To unlock all transactions:

Method 1:

  • While on the Transactions page, select all transactions on that page using the checkbox, click Bulk Action and select Unlock Transactions.

Method 2:

  1. Navigate to Entity Settings.


  2. Select Locked Period from the settings menu.


  3. Click Remove All and click Yes to remove all locked transactions.
