Step 1: Run the Tax Lots Calculation

Before generating a report, you must ensure the underlying data is calculated using your specific tax settings.

  1. Navigate to the Transactions page.

  2. Open the Calculation Configuration by clicking the cog icon.

  3. Ensure your Calculation Mode (e.g., Cost Basis FIFO) and Objective are set correctly.

  4. Crucial Step: Under "Advanced Options," you must check the box for Calculate tax lots.

    • Note: Enabling tax lot calculation increases processing time but is required to generate lot-level data.

  5. Click Calculate.

Step 2: Export the Tax Lots Report

Once the calculation is complete, the data is ready for export.

  1. Go to the Reports section from the left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Click on the Tax Lots report.

  3. Click the Export button (usually located at the top right of the table).

  4. Select CSV as your format and click Export again.

  5. Go to Entity History via the link, select Exports from the left panel, and wait for the report to be processed. Once ready, click the download icon to save the CSV.

Step 3: Understanding the Tax Lots Export Columns
