Connecting to the Fireblocks API

To connect your Fireblocks account to Cryptoworth, an API key and API Secret will be required.

Note: To ensure the best possible experience with Fireblocks, we strongly recommend connecting to Fireblocks vaults as direct blockchain connections where possible. In our testing, this approach has provided the most stable and consistent results for crypto accounting data. We recommend that you connect your Fireblocks vaults directly via blockchain connectors instead of using the API for better connectivity.

Retrieving the API key and Secret from Fireblocks

To generate an API key and an API secret from Fireblocks, follow the instructions in the guide on Creating an API user.

Copy an API user's key

Connect Fireblocks to Cryptoworth

Once you've generated the API key and secret from Fireblocks, perform the following in Cryptoworth.

  1. Login to Cryptoworth and navigate to Accounts.

  2. Click on the Connect button (at the top right corner).
    ​

  3. Search for "Fireblocks" and click on the "Fireblocks" tile.

  4. Complete the following fields and click Connect.
    ​

    1. Name your account: Provide a name for the Fireblocks account in Cryptoworth.
      ​

    2. Connection description: Optionally, you may add a description to the account.
      ​

    3. API Key: Enter the API Key you retrieved from Fireblocks.
      ​

    4. API Secret: Enter the API Secret you retrieved from Fireblocks.
      ​

    5. Sync Transactions: Enable this checkbox if you want to update transactions performed in your Fireblocks account at regular intervals.
      ​

    6. Group balances by asset: Enable this checkbox if you want to group balances for your Fireblocks accounts by assets.
      ​

    7. Sync selected vaults (optional): Enable this checkbox if you wish to sync transactions relating to specific vaults or wallets.

      When you enable the "Sync selected vaults" option, additional configuration fields appear that allow you to precisely control which vault data flows into your Cryptoworth accounting system.​

      Include or Exclude Vaults
      ​

      You can choose between two synchronization modes:
      ​

      • Include: Select specific vaults to sync. Only transactions from the listed vaults will be imported into Cryptoworth.
        ​

      Exclude: Select specific vaults to ignore. All vaults except the listed ones will be synced.​
