To exclude spam tokens or unwanted transactions from cost basis calculations, financial reports, and ERP syncs, you’ll need to create an Ignore classification in your Chart of Accounts.

Once applied, any transaction marked with this classification will be:

  • Excluded from cost basis calculations

  • Omitted from financial reports

  • Not synced to main ledgers or connected ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite)

Create a classification

  1. Click on the More Options tab from the side panel and select Chart of Accounts.

  2. On the Chart of Accounts page, click the + New button.

  3. Complete the following fields.

    1. Account type: Select the Other Asset type for this classification.

    2. Level: Select Parent level.

    3. Account name: Enter an appropriate name like "Ignored Spam Token"

    4. Account description: Enter a description for the classification.

    5. To Ignore: Enable this checkbox as this excludes any transactions with this classification from calculations.

  4. Click Add Account to save the classification. The classification will be created in your Chart of Accounts.

Assign the classification to transactions

  1. Navigate to the Transactions page.

  2. Locate the Classifications column value for the transaction you wish to classify as ignored.

You may need to scroll horizontally to find the Classifications column, if your ledger contains many columns.

  3. Click on the "Unclassified" label, then search for and assign the "Ignored spam token" classification you created in the previous step.

Once applied, the Behavior status of the transaction will change from Taxable to Ignored.

  4. If you wish to classify multiple transactions as "Ignored", select the transactions using the checkboxes, click on Classify Transactions, search for and select the "Ignored Spam Token" classification, and click Assign.
