How to Resolve Unregistered Tokens

Use the Reconciliation tab to find unregistered tokens. Export and submit relevant ones to Cryptoworth for registration if needed.

Managing Unregistered Tokens in Cryptoworth

In Cryptoworth, unregistered tokens refer to unsupported asset types detected in your ledger. These tokens have no market data and are ignored by default in calculations and reports.

Note: If the unsupported tokens are material to your financial reporting, then they need to be registered with Cryptoworth. To do this, contact Cryptoworth's support team using the in-platform chat feature with the tokens you would like to register. Refer to Step 4 of this guide for more details.

The "Unregistered Token" tab in the Reconciliation page helps you quickly identify and act on these tokens.

Step 1: Identify Unregistered Tokens

When transacting with new or obscure tokens across different chains, some assets may appear in your ledger without a symbol or market data. These are automatically treated as unregistered and ignored.

  • If they are spam or immaterial, no action is needed as they’ll continue to be ignored.

  • If you need to report on them or assign cost basis, then they must be registered.

Step 2: Run Reconciliation

  1. Go to the Reconciliation tab.

  2. Click Run Reconciliation to scan your ledger. This process will identify any tokens that are currently unregistered.

Step 3: Review the Unregistered Tokens List

After reconciliation, you’ll see a list of all unregistered tokens.

  • Mark any immaterial or spam tokens to keep them ignored.
    ​

  • The remaining tokens should be reviewed for registration.
    ​

Step 4: How to add support for an unsupported token?

  1. Click Export, then click on the Report Exports link.

  2. Click the download icon to download the exported file.
    ​

  3. Review and confirm the tokens you'd like to register.
    ​

  4. Send the file to the Cryptoworth team:
    ​

    1. Via your preferred support channel (i.e. Slack).
      ​

    2. Via the in-platform chat. Click on the chat icon, then click "Send us a message", enter your message and click the Send arrow (this is the fastest way to reach Cryptoworth's support team).
      ​

      Important: Make sure to include the token's Symbol and Contract ID in your message.

    3. Alternatively, write and send an email to Cyrptoworth's support team at [email protected].
