In this tutorial we will go over how to do an advanced transactions roll up in the ledger.
Note: This action is reversible and original transaction data is preserved.
From the side panel, navigate to the Transactions tab.
Using the checkboxes, select the transactions you want to roll up.
Note: To roll up transactions, they must all share the same Asset Type, Transaction Type (Send, Receive, Buy, Sell), Connection and Classification.
You may filter the transactions you need to classify and then select all transactions matching your filter conditions by checking the corner-most checkbox.
Click on Bulk Action and select Advanced Transaction Rollup.
Complete the following fields.
Granularity: Select the period of the transactions to be rolled up (e.g., Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
Memo: A text field to add notes or context for the roll-up action.
Click on the Roll Up button.
Click Entity History to view the roll up status.
Under the Status column, you should see a "Success" value.
If you need to ever Revert the transaction roll up, select the "Revert" button.
Note: if the transaction roll up fails, please confirm you selected transactions with the same asset type, transaction type (Send, Receive, Buy, Sell), Connection and Classification.
On the transactions tab, transactions that were rolled up are marked with an "R" symbol on the right and will have a total "Cost Base" of all transactions.
To see how the roll up journal entries will appear on your ERP click on the "info" tab and select "Journal"
