In this tutorial, we will go over how to clear your transaction fair market values and the implications of using this function in the ledger.

Step 1

In your Transactions tab, select the transaction you want to clear the FMVs from.

Step 2

After selecting the transaction that you want to clear the FMVs from, click on the three-dotted button and select the "Clear FMV Data" option.

This will remove any cost basis/proceeds from the transaction line. Once you do this function, you will need to run a new cost basis calculation for the system to add fair market value data to the line.

Step 3

Confirm the action by clicking the "Clear Data" button and the two transactions selected will have the fair market values cleared.
