A data merge on Cryptoworth is when a transaction CSV is imported to override or combine existing data on the platform with the new data from the import. This can be used to merge data into wallets, exchanges, and other transaction data sources.

In this advanced tutorial, we will present a step-by-step guide on how to merge existing data through a CSV import.

  1. From the side panel, navigate to the Transactions tab.

  2. Click on the arrow icon.

  3. Select Data Merge.

  4. Click on the link on the right to download the template. Save the file in your system. You will require this later on in the process.

  5. You will need the Internal ID references of each transaction involved in the data merge. These internal ID references are available only when exported via the CSV option.

While on the Transactions page, select the transactions you wish to override in Cryptoworth and click on the Export button to export transactions via CSV. Save the file in your system.

  6. Go back to the template you downloaded in Step 5 and replace the Internal ID references onto the data merge CSV template.

In this example, we are merging the additional Sale Price with Markup and Label columns data into the existing transactions on Cryptoworth.

  7. Fill out the fields with the transaction data you are intending to merge into other transactions.

  8. Navigate back to the Data Merge page.

  9. Select a Source (i.e. wallet), click on Browse to upload your modified data merge CSV file and click Import. Your data merge operation is now complete.
